Plum Crazy Yellow Tail

2 colorants2 glittersWorm90 viewsMarch 30, 2026

A non-bleed Plum with a yellow tail. Something about this color combination that has made this my number 1 bass catching color. I also add 1/4 cup of salt to help the sink rate and color. I make the yellow tails with LureWorks yellow and 1/8 tsp of small red glitter 0.015.

Excuse my ignorance but do you use a tail mold and place into stick bait mold with this formula? Thank you in advance.

Yes, I use tail molds for these and most of my other baits. I haven’t always used the tail molds but It’s much more efficient than shooting the full baits with the tail color, cutting off the tails, and remelting.

What yellow is that in the tail?

Bait Plastics PP400 but LureWorks Yellow 118 also works. I add an 1/8 tsp of small 0.015 red glitter.
